‘Ride for Cure’ set Saturday for downtown

The third annual “Ride for the Cure” benefiting the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation will be held Saturday, beginning and ending at Cliff’s Tavern, 218 North Main.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. with the first bike out at 11 a.m. and the last bike in at 4 p.m. Entry fee is $20 per rider ($25 with passenger) and the fee includes a meal.

Best bike, hot rod and antique car will be honored and everyone is welcome, said Mark Clark, spokesman. Sponsors and auction items are needed.

The day will include a 50/50 drawing, auction and live music.

Chili will go on sale at 12-noon a.m. for $5 and event shirts will be available.

The auction will follow the ride.

The Shades will play from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. with no cover charge for Ride for the Cure participants.
