Area officers aid in chase

Area law enforcement officers from several agencies assisted Rockdale police in a chase last Wednesday morning over rural South Milam County roads.

The Milam County Sheriff’s Department, Department of Public Safety Stare Troopers, Thorndale Police and constables participated in the auto chase that ended at the FM 1600-FM 487 intersection and triggered a brief foot chase in that area.

The Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department was also summoned to the scene after the vehicle began smoking.

Three of the four suspects were arrested and a fourth has been identified. See police report and photo on this page.
