Schreiber

Memorial services for James Charles Schreiber, 81, are pending.

Mr. Schreiber died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Renaissance Villa in Rockdale.

He was born Aug. 4, 1931, in Mart to James Edward and Leona Elizabeth (Ashley) Schreiber.

Mr. Schreiber served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

He married Wanda Tanner on Sept. 1, 1951, in Waco.

Mr. Schreiber worked as a salesman for a food products, selling to grocery stores.

He was a member of the Methodist church.

Mr. Schreiber was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Allen Ray Schreiber.

Survivors are his wife, Wanda Schreiber of Georgetown; two daughters, Dixie Moore of Georgetown, Donna Schreiber of Mansfield; a brother, Bobby Wayne Schreiber and wife Linda of Waco; and two sisters, Karen Taylor of Houston, Dee Tinno of Albuquerque, New Mexico. also, eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Visitation is set for 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Mrs. Summers died Monday, Oct. 8, at Renaissance Villa in Rockdale.

A Rockdale resident for the past 65 years, she was born April 1, 1926, in Locksburg, Arkansas.

She married James “Sam” Summers on Nov. 24, 1943, in Richmond.

Mrs. Summers was a homemaker and enjoyed antiques and baking.

She was a member of Milam County Church of Christ.

Mrs. Summers was preceded in death by her husband, James Summers, on Aug. 16, 2011; her parents; and a brother, Billy Stewart.

Survivors are a son, James Summers and wife Miranda of Caldwell; a daughter, Judy Sales of Rockdale; a grandson, Travis Sales and wife Genny of Mesquite; a great-grandson, Bruce Eric Sales and wife Leah of Mesquite; a brother, Charles Stewart of Houston; and a sister, Jean Hairston of Lampasas.
