Lamb Lamb Athens —A memorial service for Donald W. Lamb was held Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Pastor Michael Howard officiating.

Mr. L amb died Saturday, Oct. 20, in Athens.

He was born Thursday, Feb. 25, 1954, in San Antonio to R.B. Lamb and Ernestine Stewart Lamb.

Mr. Lamb attended the Cowboy Church in Ennis.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving on the USS Nimitz.

Mr. Lamb served as a scout leader when his boys were young and he enjoyed the outdoors where he was a hunter and fisherman, as well as a gardener.

Mr. Lamb liked to ride his Harley and enjoyed music, spending countless hours playing his guitars.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Laverne Penrose; and two brothers, Johnny and Roy Lamb.

Survivors are his wife of 34 years Priscilla of Athens; three sons, Rodney Lamb and wife Shelly of Athens, Bradley Lamb and wife Melynna of North Richland Hills, Sean Temple of Virginia Beach, Virginia; two sisters, Barbara Beavers and Cori Gali both of Malakoff; two brothers, Jimmy Lamb and wife Gloria of Morgan, Steve Lamb and wife Yvonne of Malakoff; and four grandchildren, Landon, Bryson, Emily and Chloe Lamb; also, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
