MCJLS deadlines

CAMERON—The following are important deadlines approaching for the 2013 Milam County Junior Livestock Show, according to show secretary Gail Hollas.

All tag-ins will take place at the Youth Exposition Building in Cameron. Times and dates are subject to change.

Market lambs, goats and non- regi s tered, along wi th breeding meat goats will be tagged in from 4-6 p.m. on Nov. 19. Market hogs and breeding gilts tag-in will be held from 4-6 p.m. Dec. 3.

Market bunnies will be tattooed from 4-6 p.m. Feb. 12. Market broilers must be ordered by Dec. 3. Cost of birds are $1.54 each. Orders are to be made with Ag teachers or Extension agents.

Please remember these dates if you are going to show at Milam County Jr. Livestock Show on March 21-23, Hollas said.

Ag Boosters winners

THORNDALE—The Thorndale 4-H/ FFA Booster Club announced the winners for October in their monthly gun chance drawing, according to Rebecca Garcia, spokesperson.

Winners were Cody Fowler, Greg Adams, David Pendleton and Debbie Rolan.

“The Thorndale 4-H/FFA Booster Club would like to thank the community for always supporting our youth,” said Garcia.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
