It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

There will be a flurry of Christmas activity this week so don’t stay home and miss it!

The Christmas season starts off right with Manor Oaks Nursing & Rehab Center’s first annual Christmas Bazaar on Thursday, Nov. 29 from 6-9 p.m.

“Vendors will be on hand with jewelry, wreaths, Scentsy, Mary Kay, Christmas decorations and much more,” according to Michelle Morgan.

Manor Oaks is located at 222 S. FM 486 in Rockdale. See their ad on 2A for more info.

Don’t forget about the 7th annual Buddy Oney Toy Run on Saturday. Registration will start at The Ranch at 9 a.m.

Proceeds will be split between Milam County Child Protective Services (CPS) and Rockdale Christmas Roundup.

If you don’t ride a motorcycle or can’t stay all day, that’s ok, you can still contribute.

They are accepting new toys or cash donations. You can drop off either of those at The Ranch or call Charles Starr for more information at (512) 540-2561.

There is also the annual St. Joseph Catholic Church Ladies Society Bazarr on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

You must go and get some of their Chicken Stew and other homemade goodies and you know those ladies are some of the best cooks anywhere around.

They are also having a Prize Drawing and we are selling chance tickets here at The Reporter. They can also be bought from any church member and the prizes are great!

Tisket-A-Tasket will hold their annual Christmas on the Grounds on Saturday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Vendors will be set up and there will be tons of great Christmas wreaths, arrangements, decorations plus gifts for everyone on your list.

This is one sale that never disappoints. See their ad on 2B for more info.

After much hard work and remodeling, Place of Hope Pregnancy Resource Center is holding their Grand Opening.

Open House and Tours will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1 and Sunday, Dec. 2 from 2-4 p.m.

Place of Hope is located next door to The Reporter at 231 E. Cameron, downtown Rockdale.

Finally, our neighbors and friends in Thorndale are holding their Christmas Celebration in downtown Thorndale.

Arts & Crafts, Silent Auction, and the Thorndale businesses will be open with lots of Christmas Specials.

The parade will start at 1:30 p.m.
