SHERIFF’S REPORT

Two charged in 4-wheeler theft

Two men were arrested last week in Burleson County and charged with the theft of two four-wheelers in Milam County.

Chief Deputy Chris White said John Ethan Furnace, 18, of Rockdale and Reid Faulkner, 21, of Alvin, were charged with theft of property ($1,500 to $20,000).

Bond was set at $5,000 each.

White said the Milam County Sheriff’s Department received a call from David Gann in reference to the theft of two four-wheelers, occurring in the 1200 block of Milam County Road 234.

Investigators received a break in the case, according to White when a family member of the victim called to say that they believed they were following a truck and trailer hauling their two stolen four-wheelers south on Texas 36 in Burleson County.

Burleson County Deputy Charles Barnes stopped the vehicle and detained the subjects until Milam County Investigator Lt. Jay Beathard arrived on the scene to confirm that the four-wheelers were stolen.

“Lt. Beathard also obtained confessions from both subjects,” White said.
