Peggy Perry, Roundup volunteer, said the deadline for applications to be turned in has past and processing now starts, heading toward the Thursday, Dec. 20 delivery date.

Roundup is the annual holiday program which provides toys and food to needy children and families.

Last year, Roundup served 828 persons in 236 family units.

SCHEDULE—Knights of Columbus Hall on US 79 will be open from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec.18, to accept donations of food and toys.

On Wednesday, Dec. 19, the KC Hall will open at 9 a.m. for volunteers to help fill boxes for delivery to needy families.

Thursday, Dec. 20, the massive task of delivery begins at 9 a.m., also at the KC Hall.

Volunteers are needed all of those days, according to Ann King, Roundup spokesperson, and are especially needed to help with the delivery.

Nominations were made by the public, which picked up forms at a number of locations around Rockdale and either mailed the forms to the organizations or turned them in at area churches.
