New McDonald’s lifts city permits to $867,000 for Dec.

Plans to tear down the current McDonald’s in Rockdale construct a new building pushed the building permits in the city to $867,638 for the month of December.

TexStar Cimarron LLC filed for the permit for construction at the building site, 1521 W. Cameron Ave., with a construction estimate at $690,000 for the new store.

Another large permit issued for the month was for a new home at 728 Ackerman for Danny and Brenda Jeter by United-Bult Homes.

Permit totals for the fiscal year, which just started in October, now sit at $1,067,314. That total is more than then entire 2011 calendar year total of $956,168.

The total for the 2012 calendar year was $2,104,769.11.

DECEMBER–Permits are issued at City Hall and ref lect only construction in the city limits.

Projects permitted for December were: Lone Star Construction for Banda’s, 480 W US 79, enclose patio; Windham Roofing for Albet Jones, 1302 Yokley, roof; Bland Construction for Gus Coehlo, 1570 E. Cameron, roof; Bland Construction for Barbara Balck, 1800 O’Kelley, fence; Parson Roofing for Peach Lutheran Chruch, 302 Meadow, roof; Jose Aboytes, 609 Burleson, carport; Liberty Signs for CVS Caremark, 1525 W. Cameron, signs.
