Arnold

CAMERON—Funeral services for Doyal E. Arnold, 84 of Buckholts were held Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Bill Harris officiating. Burial followed in Hope Lutheran Memorial Park in Buckholts.

Mr. Arnold died Thursday, Dec. 27, in a Temple hospital.

A retired farmer and rancher, he was born Nov. 2, 1928, in South Elm Community of Milam County to Orba and Dealie (Gandy) Arnold.

He married Mildred Schrank in October 1947.

Mr. Arnold had served on the Buckholts school board for many years, served in the Buckholts Betterment Association and was a member of First Baptist Church in Buckholts, where he served as deacon.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Kathryn Zajicek.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Arnold of Buckholts; a son, Kenneth Arnold and wife Naomi of Buckholts; and a daughter, Joyce Arnold of Buckholts; also, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
