CAMERON— Funeral services for J.K. “Jake” Elliott, 90, of Cameron were held Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, in the Kathryn W. Green Chapel of Green-Patterson Funeral Home with Rev. David Walker officiating.

Mr. Elliott died Jan. 2 in a Cameron hospital.

He was born on March 20, 1922, in Cameron to Nathan and Dena (Ayers) Elliott.

Mr. Elliott was a member of First Baptist Church in Cameron, a life member of the VFW and the American Legion.

He was an U.S. Army Air Force veteran and served in World War II.

Mr. Elliott was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin “Jack” Elliott and Ernest “Spec” Elliott, and sister, Pansy Tucker.

Survivors are his wife, Eloise Elliott of Cameron; three sons, Jerrell Elliott of Cameron, William Elliott of Lake Livingston, Michael Elliott of Cameron; a daughter, Juenell Eastman of Loranger, Louisiana; and two sisters, Patsy Price and Willie B. Mullinax, both of Cameron; also, six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
