Clark

CAMERON—Funeral services for W D Clark, 93, of the Marlow community near Cameron were held Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at Marlow Baptist Church with Bro. Wayne Kirk officiating. Burial followed in Marlow Cemetery.

Mr. Clark died Friday, Jan. 11, in a Temple hospital.

He was born Sept. 27, 1919, in Ennis to Turner and Siddie (Coley) Clark.

Mr. Clark was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He married Dorothy Posey Waterson in 1960.

For several years, he was self-employed in the import/export business in Houston and then a restaurant owner.

In 1968, he and his wife began serving in the mission field, serving in Central America, Belize, the Philippines and on Navajo reservations in New Mexico and Arizona.

Mr. Clark was a member of the Marlow Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Overman, and a son, Mike Waterson; also, a great-grandchild.

Survivors are his wife, Dorothy Clark of Marlow; two sons, Jimmy Clark of Hewitt, Weldon Waterson of Houston; and three daughters, Suzy Steiger and Linda Eubank, both of Houston, Joyce Green of Iowa; also, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Marlow Baptist Church Benevolence Committee.
