Tiger lineman second in bench press among country’s elite
FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA.—Rockdale’s Josh Pelzel had an opportunity to see where he stood among the country’s elite players as he attended the Under Armour Underclassmen Combine, Jan. 1-3 at Tropicana Field.
The Tiger s ’ 6 - foot- 6, 324-pound lineman joined 164 of the best underclassmen at the annual camp that includes all positions. Full Story

With tough road ahead, Eagles douse first two opponents
SOMERVILLE—The No. 14 Milano Eagles are undefeated in the first week of District 25A play with wins over Somerville and Snook.
The Eagles (15-5, 2-0) used a third quarter surge to put the game out of reach on the road at Somerville on Tuesday night.

Czajkowski leads lifters in first meet of the year
CA MERON—The Rockdale Powerlifting team competed in its first meet of the year in Cameron this past Saturday and several school records fell by the wayside.
Jamie Czajkowski placed first in the 198-lb class and in the process set two new school records while tying another. Full Story

HOLLAND—The Thorndale Lady Dogs opened up remain unbeaten in District 26A action with a 47-34 road win at Holland at Tuesday night.
Thorndale (16-9, 3-0) led just 28-21 at the half.
