Cat, owner reunited by Reporter classified

Dear editor,

Well, the saying is correct, “The Reporter gets the grapes!”

Leonardo, or “ Leo”, was returned happily to “his people,” Scott and Tammy Williams. Tammy read the ad in last week’s Reporter the day the paper came out and called me the next morning inquiring about him.

Her husband happened to be home, came over and picked him up.

Being a pet owner/ lover myself, I wanted to thank The Reporter for publishing the classified ad. What a story it is.

Leo was a wedding present to the couple six years ago. This past May Scott had taken him to veterinarian Dr. Steve Daniels because he was having some stomach issues.

Scott said he had only been in a vehicle one other time, and that was when he got neutered.

As Scott was carrying Leo into the Vet’s office, Leo bolted, breaking the cat carrier door, and escaping.

The couple looked for him around the area every day for about a month, then finally gave up much hope of ever finding him again.

What a surprise when Tammy read about a found black cat in the newspaper.

When she asked if he “had six or seven white hairs on his chest” I knew Leo was on his way back to his family.

Thank you again, and what a happy ending, reunited after eight months!
