CAMERON—Funeral services for Theodore E. Mikulec, 94, of Marak were held Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Marak with Rev. Walter Matus officiating. Burial followed in the Sts. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery.
Rosary was recited Monday, Jan. 21, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral home in Cameron.
Mr. Mikulec died Sunday, Jan. 13, at a Temple hospital.
He was born Dec. 30, 1918, to Frank and Emily Mikulec in the Marak community.
He married Rita Hertenberger on July 1, 1944.
Mr. Mikulec was a life-long farmer in Marak.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was awarded 3 bronze stars.
Survivors are his wife, Rita Mikulec of Marak; two sons, T.J. and wife Sharon of Cameron, R.L. and wife Cara of Catspring; and a daughter, Diana Robinson and husband Steve of San Diego, California; also, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
