Reporter/Teresa Ging Iris Leyendecker moves in to make a steal in the Lady Dogs’ huge 74-17 victory over Bartlett. Reporter/Teresa Ging THORNDALE—The No. 25 Thorndale Lady Dogs made it through the first round of District 26A play undefeated and are currently riding a six game winning streak.

On Tuesday night, the Lady Dogs beat St. Andrew’s 60-32 at Bulldog Gym in a break from league play.

Olivia Atkins led Thorndale with a 22-point performance in the victory. Alix Hoffman added 10 points.

Thorndale (18-9, 4-0) demolished Bartlett on Friday night 74-17. Alix Hoffman recorded a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds in the victory.

Olivia Atkins and Tamicka Cook also scored 10 points each for the Lady Dogs.

Thorndale will host Granger on Friday to open up the second round of league play. On Tuesday they will travel to face Thrall.

Lady Dogs head coach Bradley Dickerson is pleased with his team’s progress thus far.
