Growth-season rain has been inadequate during 13 of past 15 years, agent says
County Agent Jon Gersbach has a ready answer whenever anyone starts talking about “all the trees we lost in the 2011-12 drought.”

A lice Schneider was an educator for over 30 years before she began volunteering to teach youngsters music at Thorndale Elementary School, so it is obvious that she has a love for children.

Baylor has offered Rockdale lineman Josh Pelzel a scholarship to play for the Bears, according to Rockda le Coach Jeff Miller.
Pelzel is just a junior and has one more year of eligibility remaining.

Free trainings offered at Rockdale Workforce Center
Three unique sessions offer to Milam, surrounding citizens
Three free, unique training opportunities for busineses and residents of Milam and surrounding counties will be held in the coming weeks at the Rockdale Workforce Center.
A “Lean Office” seminar will be held from 1-5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26 at the workforce center, 313 N. Main Street. There are just 20 seats available for this session that usually costs $500. Full Story
