The Public Education Grant (PEG)
State law requires districts that are placed on the Public Education Grant list (PEG) to publicly post a letter to parents regarding the reasons they are on the list. While this is an outdated law and one that should have been suspended when the state suspended accountability ratings in 2012 it is something that RISD must report. Full Story

Questions about voucher program
The legislative session has begun and the topic of vouchers, taxpayer savings grants, tax credits and other measures that would divert money away from public schools is being discussed throughout the capitol. Some legislators are under the impression that some of these proposals would not impact their schools. Full Story
Band booster spaghetti supper set Monday
Rockdale Band Boosters will hold their biggest fund-raiser of the year from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4 in the Rockdale Junior High commons area.
The annual spaghetti supper will also include performances by all Rockdale ISD bands with a senior cake Auction at 5 p.m. Full Story
