MCT launches 20th season with gala

Milam Community Theater will hold its annual Gala and General Membership meeting Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Williams Civic Center in Cameron, according to Richard Stone, spokesperson.

The black tie optional Gala will mark the beginning of the civic theater group’s 20th season.

The doors will open at 6 p.m. with a Silent Auction that features works of local artists and benefits MCT’s general fund. The groups general membership meeting will begin at about 6:15 p.m. and the dinner will be ser ved a t around 7 p.m.

While members don’t need a reservation to at tend the General Membership meeting, the caterer needs a head count so dinner reservations are required.

For more information or to make reservations, call Monica Schiller at 254-697-2595. The reservation deadline is Wednesday, Feb. 13.

The 20th Anniversary Season will feature “Charlie’s Aunt,” a reprise of MCT’s ver y first show, “South Pacific,” a reprise of MCT’s very first musical, and “NunCrackers—the Christmas Story,” the third of the Nunsense musicals, of which MCT has already produced two.
