Driver draws 3-year term in Walmart chase
CAMERON—A 23-year-old Rockdale man, identified as the driver in the Oct. 3, 2012, theft/chase incident from Rockdale Walmart, drew a three-year prison sentence last week in 20th District Court.
Logan Taylor Dellerman, 23, pleaded guilty to evading arrest with a motor vehicle, according to Prosecutor Bill Torrey. Full Story

DRY AGAIN—January started out wet but is trending dry again in recent weeks and area volunteer fire departments have been answering grass fire calls. On Saturday, the Tanglewood VFD responded to a call on Lee County Road 418 at the Lee-Milam county line including about two acres. One hurt in rural accident
A 27-year- old Killeen resident was treated at Richards Memorial Hospital after a 4:52 p.m. Jan. 25 one-vehicle accident on FM 437 north of Davilla, according to State Trooper Jason Adams.
He said Megan Myer’s vehicle sustained extensive damage in the 4:52 p.m. accident. Full Story
Prescription drug card approved
CAMERON—Milam County Commissioners on Monday, following through on a program they discussed in a Jan. 14 meeting, okayed a discount prescription drug card program designed mostly to benefit Milam residents without health insurance drug coverage.
The free card, issued through Coast2Coast Rx, should be available to county residents within six weeks. Full Story
