Project Graduation to sell barbecue on Friday

Milano High School Project Graduation group will sell barbecue sandwiches on Friday in the high school cafeteria prior to the basketball games. For $7 people can get a barbecue sandwich, chips and tea. Serving will start at 4 p.m.

Don’t forget to buy your tickets for the Milano Volunteer Fire Department’s annual fund-raiser. Tickets can be purchased from any MVFD member. They are one for $5 each or six for $25.

Prizes include: Henry Golden Boy 22 caliber LR, Taurus Public Defender .45-410, Remington 700 .270, Marlin 336w 30-30, Remington 870 shotgun, H and R Pardner shotgun, Mossberg 817 17 HMR, Garmin Nuvi 2350 GPS, Leatherman Surge Multitool and $75 Academy gift card.

Drawings will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 during the MVFD’s annual chili supper at the Milano Civic Center.

All prizes received in gif t cards. Winners pay sales tax and need not be present to win.

The annual MVFD chili supper is set for Saturday, Feb. 9 at the Milano Civic Center/Fire Station. Serving will begin at 4:30 p.m. until around 6 p.m. Costs are $7 for adults and $3 for children 11 and under. Meal will include chili, crackers, dessert and drink.

There will be musical entertainment, including fiddler player Paul Schlesinger, beginning around 5 p.m. Live and silent auctions will also be included in the evening.

Got word from Tammy Storey this week that she will be opening back up Smokin’ Oak BBQ on Friday, Feb. 8. Glad to have her great cooking back.
