Milano VFD chili supper, fund-raiser set Saturday

The annual MVFD chi l i supper is set for Saturday, Feb. 9 at the Milano Civic Center/Fire Station. Serving will begin at 4:30 p.m. until around 6 p.m. Costs are $7 for adults and $3 for children 11 and under. Meal will include chili, crackers, dessert and drink.

There will be musical entertainment, including fiddler player Paul Schlesinger, beginning around 5 p.m. Live and silent auctions will also be included in the evening.

Don’t forget to buy your tickets for the Milano Volunteer Fire Department’s annual fund-raiser. Tickets can be purchased from any MVFD member. They are one for $5 each or six for $25. Prizes include: Henry Golden Boy 22 caliber LR, Taurus Public Defender .45-410, Remington 700 .270, Marlin 336w 30-30, Remington 870 shotgun, H and R Pardner shotgun, Mossberg 817 17 HMR, Garmin Nuvi 2350 GPS, Leatherman Surge Multitool and $75 Academy gift card.

Drawings will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 during the MVFD’s annual chili supper at the Milano Civic Center.

All prizes received in gif t cards. Winners pay sales tax and need not be present to win.

There will also be a gun show across from the civic center on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. with a $5 admission fee. For more information, contact Terry Walker at 512-455-4006.
