Estate planning workshop set Tuesday

THORNDALE—The Thorndale Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) and the Milam County Farm Bureau will host an estate planning workshop at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 at the TACC building, 120 South Main Street in downtown Thorndale.

Joining with the Milam County Farm Bureau, the TACC will host this community service program which is a sharing of ideas in the estate planning process and the different options available to you in the areas of wills, trusts, durable financial power of attorney, medical power of attorney, directive to physicians, preserving your estate and how to insure your estate is handled according to your wishes.

Commercial shredder available on March 8

A commercial cross-shredder will be at the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce grounds, 1203 West Cameron Avenue, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday, March 8 for use by the public.

The shredder’ s visit to Rockdale is again being co-sponsored as a community service by the Chamber and the Rotary Club.

Use of the shredder is free to individuals. Businesses will pay 16 cents a pound. Businesses are asked to call the Chamber, 446-2030, if they plan to bring documents for shredding.
