Awwww Alert! Friday is Father Daughter Dance

Put on your Mardi Gras beads and feathers, kick up your heels and get ready for some serious “awwww-ing” because this Friday is the 6th annual Father-Daughter Dance.

The time will be from 7-9 p.m. and it will be at the Patterson Civic Center beside Rockdale Fair Park.

Tickets are $15 per couple advance and $20 per couple at the door. Bring all of your daughters because it’s only $5 per additional girl.

Tickets are available at Gatti’s Pizza and Rockdale Signs & Photography.

Also Rockdale Signs & Photography will be on hand to take keepsake photos at great prices.

This event is sponsored by the Rockdale Athletic Booster Club and all proceeds will go to scholarships for graduating Rockdale athletes.

The Black Jack Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual Chili Supper and Cake Auction this Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Black Jack Fire Station on FM 908 between Rockdale and Caldwell.

Serving for their awesome chili begins at 5 p.m. with the cake auction at 6.

Supper tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children 2 to 12.

A Rockdale Lenten tradition, Knights of Columbus Council 7014’s annual “every Friday in Lent” fish fry begins Feb. 15 at the KC Hall.

Hours are 5 to 7:30 p.m. or until sold out.

Plates, prices at $8 each, interlude fried fish, homemade fries, hush puppies, slaw, green beans, trimmings, tea and dessert.
