Raid on suspected drug houses wraps up 4-month investigation

A four-month investigation by the Milam County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Investigations Unit into suspected drug trafficking ended with two raids, a chase and an arrest Thursday.

Isidro Dominguez III, 27, of Cameron was charged with aggravated assault on a public servant, tampering/fabricating physical evidence, manufacture/ delivery of a controlled substance (4 to 200 grams), possession of marijuana (less than two ounces) and evading arrest or detention with previous conviction.

He remains in custody in lieu of $327,000 bond.

Chief Deputy Chris White said Sheriff David Greene, deputies, Cameron police, a constable and state troopers converged on two Cameron locations simultaneously. “One subject fled in a car, nearly striking deputies who were attempting to stop him. He was apprehended after a brief chase.”

White said cocaine, marijuana and guns were located, along with items “commonly used for distribution and sale of narcotics.”
