Brenham’s book event grows to four days

BRENHAM—An annual attraction, Brenham has expanded its Used Book Sale three days to four, Feb. 20-23, at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Brenham.

The Fortnightly Club of Brenham has collected more than 20,000 books that will be available for purchase during the sale, including a variety of new and used books, a large selection of novels and some collectors' editions, plus many hardbacks, videos, DVDs and CDs.

The first day, Feb. 20, has been added to accommodate book dealers who want to shop in advance. Admission from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. that day is $10. Admission for the remainder of the sale is $1 per person (children admitted free).

Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

All proceeds benefit the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library in Brenham. Parking is free.

Browsers are invited to spend time in Brenham’s historic downtown, where more than 40 shops offer gifts, clothing items and antiques, plus restaurants.
