POSGCD denies permit re-hearing plea
MILANO—On a 6-0 vote, with one abstention, Monday, the Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District (POSGCD) board denied a request to re-hear the Alcoa water well permit approved on Nov. 13.
Dr. Curtis Chubb and property owner James McDaniel, who had filed as an affected party in the permitting process, had request a re-hearing, citing legal issues with the permit process.
Director Jim Hodson, who is employed by Alcoa, abstained from the vote.
Also Monday, on a 4-3 vote, the board refused to waive fees for Burleson County use of one of the district’s monitor wells.
