BIGGEST EVENT YET—This quilt donated to the Milano Volunteer Fire Department brought in $475 during the group’s annual chili supper fundraiser held Saturday at the Milano Civic Center. Organizers said that this year’s event was the most successful chili supper they had done. The night included dinner, musical entertainment, live and silent auctions, along with the announcing of winners from the group’s annual prize drawing (see Milano News, page 4B). Above (l-r), auctioneer Donny White, Milano VFD fire chief Jesse Love, MVFD assisant chief/treasurer Travis Yoakum and VFD member Jodi Manning display the handmade quilt to the crowd.
