The Tigers 60-58 loss to Taylor Friday night eliminated them from playoff contention, following a year in which they broke a 15-year losing record, playoff drought.

Thorndale appears to be back on track as playoffs begin
Thorndale put a screeching halt to its unexplainable threegame losing skid with a resounding 78-47 victory over Georgetown Gateway Friday and then whipped Granger 62-43 Tuesday night on the road.

RHS Alumni baseball games set for Saturday
After a one year hiatus due to bad weather in 2012, the 5th Annual Tiger Baseball Alumni Scrimmage is back.
This year’s scrimmage will be held on February 16 and will follow the usual format.
There will be two alumni teams and the 2013 varsity team. Any ex-baseball player of Rockdale High School is invited to play. Full Story

Rockdale returned to a modicum of its past success in a storied softball program last season, when the Lady Tigers recorded their first playoff series victory since 2006, dismissing Columbus.
The Lady Tigers were bumped out of the playoffs by No. 5 Huffman Hargrave in the area round in a one-game playoff, 7-3, so they have a new benchmark to aim for in 2013. Full Story
