PALS hosting donkey basketball game Sat.

The craziest show on earth is coming to Rockdale—donkey basketball. It’s wilder than a rodeo and funnier than a circus, according to Tina Barcak, Rockdale High School PALS sponsor.

The doubleheader basketball extravaganza will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 at the new Rockdale High School Gym. Advance tickets are now on sale for $6, children under school age will be free. Tickets at the gate will be $8. There will also be free donkey rides for children 12 and under; all children must be accompanied by a parent.

There will be four teams that consist of: students from the junior class, students from the senior class, faculty and administration and one team of members from our community. A playoff between the winning teams will determine this year’s champion, Barcak said.

Real live donkeys specially selected for donkey basketball will be used for this show presented by the Rockdale High School PALS organization.
