SPRING IN FEBRUARY—Forget the groundhog, how about azaleas as a harbinger of spring? The brilliant flowers have been springing up all over the Rockdale, a month to six weeks early, after a string of mild winter weather. Matilde Garza, who grows azaleas at her rural home northwest of town said her flower bed keeps blooming. “I’ve never known them to bloom this early,” she said. “Of course, now it will probably get cold.”
