Driver ejected in Sunday rollover

A 25-year-old Rockdale man was taken to Scott & White Hospital in Temple early Sunday morning after a one-vehicle rollover near Brushy Creek.

Trooper Donald Delukie said Jose Rodriguez was thrown from his vehicle around 2 a.m. on FM 908 near County Road 429.

Delukie said the driver was not wearing a seat belt.

“The vehicle missed a curve and it appeared the driver overcorrected,” Delukie said.

Damages were termed extensive.

The Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department was called to the scene.

One medical transport was made at 4:15 p.m. Feb. 12 after a two-vehicle collision on Texas 36 south of Milano, according to Trooper Erik Gaston.

He listed drivers as Kevin Rosner, 25, of Austin and Brandon Garza, 18, of Milano.

Garza was treated at Richards Memorial Hospital in Rockdale.

Damages were termed extensive to both vehicles.

No injuries were reported in a 12:58 p.m. Friday two-vehicle collision on US 77 south of Rockdale, according to Gaston.

He listed drivers as Justin Sappington, 33, of Hallettsville and 24-year-old Evan Gerren of Taylor.
