Gause JH basketball teams finish out season at tourney

The Gause Junior High basketball teams (boys and girls) each placed third in the Allen Academy tournament over the weekend. The girls’ MVP trophies went to Gause eighth grader Kendall Lee and seventh grader Kelaria King. Boys MVP trophies went to Gause eighth grader Nick Castilleja and seventh grader Matt Edgar. Congratulations to this season’s Gause basketball teams. Now begins track season.

GJH students will be having their annual Spring Dance in the gym this Friday evening.

The Valentine Banquet fund-raiser for Gause Baptist church youth group was a success this past Saturday evening thanks to all of you who attended and those who helped put it together.

Gause 4-H members Katelyn Trowbridge, Abbigail Miller and Kendall Lee joined other Milam County 4-Hers for the San Antonio Livestock Exposition (SALE) consumer decision making contest on Saturday. Family members accompanied these young ladies to San Antonio.

Katelyn was a member of the junior division team from Milam County that placed sixth and Abbigail was a member of the Milam County junior team that placed third. Congratulations to these winners.

Connelly Cooper, accompanied by his parents, Chris and Kelly Cooper was in at the SALE this past week to show his calf scramble heifer. While in San Antonio, they stayed with Kelly’s brother Craig.

Next week, Feb. 25-27 will be the Gause ISD cheerleader/mascot clinic in the school gym after school.
