Henry

Services for Dale Henry, 65, of Rockdale were held Saturday Feb. 16, 2013, in Rockdale Christian Church. Burial was in Forest Grove Cemetery in Forest Grove. Pastor Harry Stevenson officiated.

Mr. Henry died Tuesday, Feb. 12, in Bayshore Hospital at Pasadena.

He was born April 7, 1947, in Cameron to Milford B. and Dorris (Spence) Henry.

Mr. Henry was raised in Rockdale where he was a 1965 graduate of Rockdale High School and a member of the school band.

Mr. Henry attended three years at Texas Christian University and was a member of the college band.

He lived a number of years in Fort Worth, then moved to Austin, Morgans Point, Carmine, then back to Rockdale.

He was a member of Rockdale Christian Church, served there as an Elder, was chairman of the board and an adult Sunday school teacher.

After college, Mr. Henry was building manager at Fort Worth National Bank.

In Austin, he owned a carpet business and then was manager for a commercial insulation business in Brenham.

He was a sports fan, especially of the Texas Rangers and TCU football, and he loved his church and family.

Mr. Henry was preceded in death by his father, Milford Henry, on Nov. 10, 2010.

Survivors are his mother, Dorris Henry of Rockdale; two daughters, Heather Lynne Henry Paschal and husband Brad of La Porte, Carla Deanne Henry of Missouri City; three grandchildren, Morgan Dale Williams, Jonathan Keith Henry and Caitlynne Elise Henry; a sister, Darla Sue McMillan and husband John of Rockdale; and six nieces and nephews, Bettina Rhea Sheppard Brondo, Kim Marie McMillan Thompson, Monica Joy Sheppard Garner, Laura Sue McMillan Prince, Dorris Jean McMillan Hill and Hannah Grace McMillan Skala.
