CAMERON—Funeral services for Esteban Ramirez, 57, of Cameron will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Eugene Van- Noord officiating. Burial will follow in the Hernandez Cemetery.

Visitation is set for 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at the funeral home.

Mr. Ramirez died Sunday, Feb. 17, in a Temple hospital.

He was born April 29, 1955, in Cameron to Elias Ramirez and Isabel Sosa.

He married Michelle Beasley and had worked as an assembly man for Royal Seating.

Mr. Ramirez was preceded in death by a brother, Richard; and a sister Rosa Munoz.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle Ramirez of Cameron; four sons, Steven Ramirez, Richard Jeremiah Ramirez and wife Cecilia, all of Temple, Xavier Ramirez and Simon Ramirez, both of Cameron; a daughter, April Ramirez of Cameron; his mother, Isabel Ramirez of Cameron; five brothers, Ramiro Ramirez of Petaluma, California, Raymond Lee Ramirez, Valente Ramirez and wife Donna, Robert Ramirez and wife Hope, Juan Ramirez and wife Pam, all of Cameron; and two sisters, Mary Lara, Anita Varga and husband Marcus, all of Cameron; also, six grandchildren.
