Blood drive Wednesday at Gause school library

There will be a blood drive held in the Gause School Library from 12:30 pm until 6:30 pm. Wednesday, March 6. You may call Angie Gaston at 979-255-5345 to set up an appointment, or just come when you have time that afternoon.

County Extension Agent Cheryl Walker will be at the school that day from 12:30-3 p.m. talking to the students about choosing healthy snacks and good nutrition.

Gause Junior High track team members will be going to Somerville for a meet Thursday. Then Friday morning the tryouts for junior high cheerleaders will be taking place at the school. Gause Community Improvement Program will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, March 4 at the Gause Community Center.

Gause 4-H Club will meet Tuesday, March 5 in the Gause school cafeteria. All interested youth are encouraged to attend.

Our sympathy to the family of Mary Todd Stitcher. She passed away on Feb. 14 in Ennis. Graveside service was held Feb. 17 at the Gause Cemetery.

Son-in-law, Chris Cooper, had sinus surgery this past Friday in Houston. He and Kelly went to Conroe on Thursday evening and spent the night with Dan and Maxine Cooper and then Dan went with them for the surgery.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
