Students ready for Spring pictures and Spring Break

Lots of activities taking place at Gause ISD. Cheerleaders were selected Friday for the next school year. Those selected are Maci Grandchamp, Kaylee Hawes, Abbigail Miller, Calla Vinton, Anastasia Phillips, Natalie Jones, Taylor Todd, Shianna Tidwell, Caitlin White, Alexus Jutson and Alexia Ramirez. Mascot will be Jonathan Clayton.

On Friday, March 8 school Spring individual and sports pictures will be taken that morning.

March 11-15 will be Spring Break for students and staff. Classes will resume Monday, March 18. Hope all enjoy the break.

Phillip Rasco was honored Saturday evening as he and family members gathered for dinner in Bryan to celebrate his 18th birthday. Happy birthday, Phillip. Wow, time gets away—he shouldn’t be that age. Lots of Gause folk joined other Milano high school basketball fans for the playoff games in New Braunfels this past weekend.

Wayne and I were guests of his sister and brother-in-law Sandra and Edward Dworaczyk for the Milano Lions Club pancake supper fund-raiser Saturday evening. Enjoyed visiting with relatives and friends and the food was great.

Gause 4-H members Abbigail Miller and Kendall Lee joined other Milam County 4-H Consumer Decision Making members for the District 8 contest in Waco on Saturday. The junior age team Abbigail was on won first place and she was fourth high individual. The intermediate team Kendall was on won first place also. Congratulations to both Milam County teams.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
