Rockdale sales allocation check up for month
MDD check still seeing decline for month, year; County rebate check well ahead of March 2012
AUSTIN—Texas Comptroller Susan Combs said that state sales tax revenue in February was $2.08 billion, up 3.7 percent compared to February 2012.
Combs sent out $531.1 million in February local sales tax allocations last week to cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts. That is up 12.2 percent compared to the same time in 2012. Full Story
Milam County, area rates jump for January
County jobless numbers increase seven-tenths
AUSTIN—Milam County’s unemployment rate jumped seven-tenths of a point for the month, with its seasonally adjusted jobless rate at 8.5 percent for January, according to numbers released by the Texas Workforce (TWC) on Friday.
