Eight draw sentences in 20th District Court

Eight persons drew sentences in 20th District Court last week, according to Prosecutor Bill Torrey, who listed case dispositions as follows:

• Eugene Gonzales Jr., 26, Austin, pleaded guilty to a lesser included offense, attempted possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor, two years deferred adjudication probation, $2,000 fine, $140 restitution to DPS.

• Samatra Beckwith, 36, Rockdale, pleaded guilty to burglary of a habitation, three-year probated prison term, $108.98 restitution.

• Aaron James Broils, 31, San Antonio, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance (more than 4 grams), seven years deferred adjudication probation, $2,500 fine, $140 restitution to DPS.

• Kimberly Woodward Brumet, 53, Temple, pleaded to a lesser included Class A misdemeanor offense, driving while intoxicated, one-year county jail term, probated 18 months, 10-day county jail term, one-year driver’s license suspension, $1,500 fine and court costs.

• Jaime Munoz Castellanos, 44, Cameron, pleaded “no contest” to a lesser included offense theft ($1,500 to $20,000), one-year deferred adjudication probation, $1,000 fine, full restitution to all victims with amount to be determined at March 27 heading.

• Michael Edward Wilborn, 50, Mercedes, pleaded guilty to DWI-third or more offense, five-year prison term.

• Markus Wayne Bennett, 35, Nashville, Georgia, pleaded guilty to evading arrest with motor vehicle, two years deferred adjudication probation, $2,000 fine.

• James Anders Baird, 35, Houston, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, $2,500 fine, $140 in restitution to DPS.
