Calendar of upcoming events at MISD

By ROBERT WESTBROOK

I think all of our employees and students enjoyed spring break. They enjoyed the extra sleep in the mornings and just getting away from school routines. But, by the end of the week, most employees and students are ready to get back in the groove and push through to the end of the school year.

Even though school is closed for the week of spring break, school activities continued. We had district softball and district baseball games over spring break. With games going on, that means practices were occurring as well. Our baseball, softball, and track teams had practices. In addition, our One Act Play cast and crew had practice during the break because their zone competition was on Monday, the first day back from spring break.

The OAP cast and crew recovered nicely from spring break and put on an outstanding show and advanced to the district contest, which will be held next week in Georgetown. Congratulations OAP. We are looking forward to seeing you progress through the various levels of competition.
