Shredder visiting Chamber on Monday

A commercial shredder will visit the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce on Monday for the convenience of local businesses and individuals.

Denise Brock, Rockdale Chamber of Commerce secretary, said hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The shredder’s visit is again co-sponsored by the Chamber and the Rotary Club.

Use of the shredder is free to individuals. Businesses will pay 16 cents a pound.

Businesses are asked to call the Chamber, 446-2030, in advance if they plan to bring documents for shredding.

The shredder’s visit was originally scheduled for March 8 but was rescheduled for three weeks later.

More than 6,000 pounds of documents were shredded during the 2012 visit.

The Chamber office is located at 1203 West Cameron (US 79).
