Lady Eagles sit alone atop district standings at 3-0

Reporter/Holly Jentsch SNOOK—The Milano Lady Eagles remain unbeaten in District 27A play with wins over Snook and Burton during the week. At Snook on Tuesday, Milano (10-7, 3-0) took just four innings to pound out 11 hits and take the win 18-1.

Kiersten Bastow pitched the win, striking out three and walking one for the Lady Eagles.

Milano is on a five game winning streak and is sitting atop the league standings all alone at 3-0.

Tera Arledge had a productive night at the plate, going two for two and hitting in four runs. Emily Overall was also two for two with one RBI.

Kelly Wadlington was three four four with three runs scored and five stolen bases.

Wadlington leads the team with 26 stolen in as many attempts on the season.

Stonie Guthrie is 22 for 22 on stolen bases.

BEAT BURTON—The Lady Eagles took just six innings to pound out a 12-2 win over Burton on Friday. The team overcame five errors to collect 12 hits in the win.

Emily Overall hit her second home run of the season in the victory, while going two for four at the plate. She also knotted four runs batted in.

Stonie Guthrie and Kel ly Wadlington each went two for three with Guthrie adding a double, a triple and two RBIs. Elizabeth Holt was two for two with a double.
