The Milano community project, “Bring Back the Monarchs” to the Milano Junction Memorial Garden, is going strong.

In our efforts to share our knowledge to the community, we offered a free course on April 3 called, “Attracting Pollinators using Native Plants” presented by Katherine Bedrich. For those who attended, they received excellent information, viewed outstanding pictures of pollinators on native plants and resources from an experienced gardener and the El Camino Real Chapter Master Naturalist president.

The Milano Junction Memorial Garden’s progress is still underway. On Tuesday, April 16, we will begin the planting. Please come join us make the gardencometolife. Wewill begin planting at 8:30a.m. Bring your shovel, rake and gloves.

In our continuing efforts to bring more information to you, we are of fering a free class, “Introduction to Monarchs” from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24 in Milano. If you are interested in learning more about those beautiful little butterflies, please RSVP by April 20 to the e-mail below. This class will be free of charge and open to the public but you will need to reserve your seat.
