Thursday was a big night for Debra Jackson, immediate past chair of the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce, after presiding over Chamber business during a hectic 2012. Jackson was named the Chamber’s citizen of the year at the banquet and received the night’s only standing ovation from her peers. She also picked up the past chair’s award, presented by current chair Mike Walko. Many other awards were also presented during the banquet. See more photos and complete coverage, page 1B.
