Seven draw 20th District Court terms

CAMERON—Seven persons drew sentences last week in 20th District Court, according to Prosecutor Bill Torrey who listed case dispositions as follows:

• John Wesley Middleton, 30, Rockdale, pleaded “true” to a motion to revoke probation on an original charge of burglary of a building, one year state jail term. He also pleaded “true” to a probation revocation motion on an original charge of possession of a controlled substance and drew another one-year state jail term.

• Severiano Rodriguez- Gutierrez, 34, Rockdale, pleaded guilty to Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana and drew a five-month county jail term.

• John Dunn, 46, Pf lugerville, pleaded guilty to a lesser included Class A misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief, court costs and was assessed court costs and a $1,000 fine.

• Nicole Denman Anderson, 19, Austin, pleaded guilty to a lesser included Class A misdemeanor attempted possession of a controlled substance, two years deferred adjudication probation, $2,500 fine, $140 restitution to the Department of Public Safety.

• Kinnard Freeman, also known as Kenneth

Freeman, 48, Cameron, pleaded guilty to theft with priors, nine-month state jail term .

• Brenton James Thomas, 22, Rossville, Kansas, pleaded guilty to a lesser included Class A misdemeanor attempted possession of controlled substance, one year deferred adjudication probation, $1,000 fine, $140 restitution to Department of Public Safety.

• William Christopher Taggart, 23, Village, Texas, pleaded guilty to a lesser included Class A misdemeanor offense attempted possession of a controlled substance, one year deferred adjudication probation, $1,000 fine, $140 restitution to Department of Public Safety.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
