‘Fangs’ for the memories



Tim Cole of Austin Reptile Services certainly made a lot of memories for Rockdale and Milam County snake lovers on Saturday. Cole’s live snake demonstration, was the featured highlight of the fourth annual Nature Fest at Fair Park and there was a standing room only crowd of over 150 on hand. Nature Fest actually began Friday evening and continued Saturday with all kinds of activities including bees, feral hogs, butterflies, crawdads, archaeological digs, a photo contest and much more. The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
