MARC Run officials express appreciation
The 12th Annual MARC Run held Saturday, hosted by Back to the Bone Riders and benefitting Milam Adult Resource Center, was one of the best years yet.
In today’s economy there are only two words for what happens at this event every year, love and heart.
The ride has grown from a few local bikers interested in lending a hand to a major opportunity for bikers from all over the United States to enjoy a day of riding and fellowship and help some dearly loved people.
An auction in the afternoon and BBQ meal was offered for sale to the public to allow those who don’t own a bike but wanted to participate to do just that. Rockdale once again donated items to the auction, purchased plates, and lent a hand.
Over 100 bikes and riders were escorted through town and made several stops.
The riders returned to the final stop and were greeted by the smell of brisket and all the trimmings. The auction, with John Fisher, was once again the highlight of the day.
With donations still coming in, over $25,000 was donated to the MARC Center.
The Riders appreciate so much all of our sponsors, our friends, and those who keep coming back to ride and donate every year.
Thank you all for making this one of the best years yet.
