Newsstand price will rise to $1 next week

The single-copy price for The Rockdale Reporter will rise from 75 cents to $1 with the May 2 issue.

Prices at newsstand and retail stores will be $1 in order to cover rising postage and production costs.

Subscription prices will be $30 in Milam County, $34 throughout the rest of Texas and will remain at $37 in the rest of the U.S.

“A week’s worth of local news is still less expensive than a soft drink or even a bottle of water, and we feel like that is a bargain,” said Kathy Cooke, publisher.

“We thank everyone for their continued readership,” she said.
