Blood drive ahead Monday at Milano HS

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 12-noon to 5 p.m. Monday at Milano High School.

Jan Hale, Red Cross spokesperson, said the event is part of National Volunteer Week, April 21-27.

“In the hour it takes to give blood, donors can save the lives of up to three persons,” Hale said.

Family Matters slated May 1st

The next session of “Family Matters,” the monthly get-together to assist parents and their students with a variety of problems is Wednesday, May 1 in the fellowship hall of St. John’s United Methodist Church.

Raymon Puente, coordinator, said the topic will be “How Do I Educate and Protect My Children from Human Trafficking?”

The session begins with a snack supper at 6 p.m. Speakers Dennis and Bobbie Marek will conduct the program from 6:15 to 7:30.
