DISTRICT OFFICER ELECTIONS— One of the major events of Leadership Lab will be the election of of f icers for the District 8 4-H Council. Council Officer applications are due to the District Office by May 31 (postmarked). That information can be found on the District 8 4-H Council Officer page: http://d84-h.tamu.edu/ district-4-h-council/. Notify the Milam County Extension Office if you submit an application for district council officer.
PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP— State 4- H Photography Workshop, “The Art Behind the Career,” will be held July 20-21 at Central Texas Christian School inTemple. Itwillinclude hands-on, fun workshop. Reg ist rat ion is open now until July 1 on 4-H Connect: ht tp:// texas4- h. tamu.edu. The workship is limited to first 100 participants.
Cost is $25 per participant for instruction, service project, Saturday lunch and flash drive with all workshop materials. Go to http://texas4-h.tamu.edu/photography_ contest for additional information.
DISTRICT 8 COUNTY CAMP—Are you a 4-Her from ages8 to13? Doyouwantto have f un? T hen y ou w ill w ant to join 4-Hers from Falls, Freestone, Hamilton, Hill, Johnson, Robertson and other counties in District 8 for the Southeast District 8 4-H County Camp. Dates are July 12-14 at Lakeview Methodist Camp in Palestine.

TEEN LEADERS—Attention teen leaders. Senior 4-Hers if you are a 14-18 year old 4-H member and want to experience one of the most unique opportunities in the state, then you should consider signing up to be a teen leader for Southeast District 8 4-H County Camp. You w ill basically ser ve as a camp counselor.
Two ways to be involved:
Group leader—You and another teen leader will have a group of campers that you will help to get from activity to activity. You will come up with fun chants, games and activities to help make your group of campers the coolest at camp. Session leader— You and another teen leader will present a workshop or activity to participating campers. This gives you an opportunity to help fill the campers days with activities that are educational, beneficial and most of all fun.
If interested in being a Teen leader, please contact the Extension Office by May 24 so we can get you on the list. Don’t miss out on this one of a kind opportunity.
